The VMC Dunkin’ Donuts 5K Race will be the fun event of the year! Starting at Hardin Valley Elementary School the route will take you down Hardin Valley Road before you turn left on to the campus of Pellissippi State Community College where you will follow Course Monitors and signage to the half-way mark. There you will either make the turn back to Hardin Valley Elementary and cross the FINISH LINE to complete the 5K, or if you are a Donut 5K Competitor, you will stop and eat 12 Dunkin’ Donuts Glazed Munchkins. As soon as you have finished your donuts and checked out with the judges, you will continue back to Hardin Valley Elementary to cross the FINISH LINE.
Ways To Register For The VMC Dunkin' Donuts 5K
5K Competitor – runs or walks 5K but does not stop for donut eating. Is eligible for Overall Male and Female or Male and Female Age category 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
Donut 5K Competitor – runs or walks 5K but STOPS for donut eating. Is eligible for special cash prize of
$200.00 1st Place (male and female) and special 2nd and 3rd place prizes for this category (male and female). All winners of the Donut 5K Competitor race will not be eligible for any 5K Competitor prizes.
One Mile Fun WALK/Run – runs or walks a one mile course designed for fun in mind. This race will start at approximately 2:40 p.m. in front of Hardin Valley Elementary School. Participants in this category may join a team to help that team in the largest team competition.
Couch Supporter - For those VMC supporters who can’t be on site the day of the race, this is a great way to show your support for VMC and an easy way to collect pledges and donations to benefit VMC. Participants in this category may join a team to help that team in the largest team competition.
Packet pick-up will be held on Friday (November 2nd from 10 to 2) at the VMC offices located on 511 N. Broadway; and on Saturday (November 3rd from 10 to 2 ) at Dunkin’ Donuts on Hardin Valley Road. The race will start promptly at 2:30 p.m. Sunday November 4th. The 1-Mile Fun WALK/Run will start promptly at 2:40 p.m.
The Award ceremony will begin after the race.

5K Race - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place all Age Categories -
winners both male & female. And Overall Winner Male & Female.

PLEDGE RAISING CONTEST
Whether you are registering for the 5K Race, the Donut Challenge, or registering as a couch supporter you can
continue your support by starting your own fundraising page to raise pledges/donations and compete for a $250 gas card. (You do not have to register for the race to compete in the Pledge Raising Contest). Encourage your friends, family and co-workers to support you by making a pledge/donation to your fundraising page for VMC. The pledges and donations you raise will help 100 households maintain their housing by keeping their utilities on. VMC receives approximately 2,700 utility requests each year. Currently we are only able to assist 25% of the households that are in need of assistance, and come to us for help. This year’s goal is $10,000

ONE MILE FUN WALK/RUN
We have a NEW 1-mile Fun WALK/Run course for those who are just looking for a good Walk/Run event. The Start line is at Hardin Valley Elementary and the course will be a complete lap around the elementary school and Hardin Valley Academy's sports fields. Step off is is approximately 2:40 p.m. and everyone registered for the Fun WALK/Run will receive a Special prize to take home.

TEAM CHALLENGE
When registering for the event be sure to indicate the church, corporation, school or community you are representing to be included in the overall count of the team challenge. The TEAM with the most registered TEAM members will be awarded a plaque and bragging rights. Be sure to check and see if your TEAM has already been created.
