The Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that offers specialized services to individuals in our community who are in crisis, at risk of losing their home or already homeless. VMC’s programs support its two-fold mission of providing services to PREVENT homelessness AND facilitating housing for those who are experiencing homelessness.
VMC operates several programs: The Resource Center, Rapid Rehousing, The Bush Family Refuge, Permanent Supportive Housing Units - Minvilla Manor & Caswell Manor, Street Outreach, and the VMC Dental Clinic.
The goal for all clients is housing. VMC offers services to prevent the loss of housing and provides case management and other resources to assist individuals into housing.
Once housing is achieved, the case management relationship continues until a level of self-sufficiency is reached, thus ensuring success for maintaining housing.

Reporting to the Director of Street Outreach, this position engages homeless individuals living in a place not meant for habitation to provide information and important resources so that they may obtain permanent housing and other needed services.
