No Addiction Without Trauma

Did you know that VMC has a Clinical Psychologist on staff! Well, we do and Dr. Karen Toman has been with VMC for three years working with those we are assisting into housing! Dr. Toman and Bruce explore the relationship between addiction and trauma and how many of those that VMC serve have experienced repeated trauma that they have never worked through. Bruce and Dr. Toman also discuss how housing and a supportive community can assist in overcoming trauma and addiction.
