MATT LEADBETTER
and Friends
Born with music in his blood in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Matt Leadbetter was shaped by the sound of the Appalachian hills long before he ever stepped on a stage. The son of legendary dobro master Phil Leadbetter, Matt was raised in a home where music wasn’t just played—it was lived...That natural inclination led him to the road in 2000, and more than 26 years later, Matt continues to travel the highways and backroads of America, carrying with him a sound rooted in tradition and shaped by experience. His journey has included performing with many of bluegrass music’s most respected artists and bands, and since 2017, he has been a trusted member of Dale Ann Bradley’s band—contributing his distinctive dobro voice to award-winning recordings and countless live performances...His work has been recognized by his peers with honors including SPBGMA Dobro Performer of the Year (2025, 2026) and IBMA Resophonic Guitar Player of the Year nominations (2024, 2025), along with participation in multiple IBMA Gospel Recording and Performance of the Year–winning projects.
In Honor and Memory of Don Sproles
Don Sproles was one of VMC's earliest and most enthusiastic supporters. He and his wife, Karen, owned the LunchBox Restaurants. Don, his family, and employees often served meals at VMC, and he was known to offer employment opportunities to VMC neighbors. In 2012, he served as VMC Board Chair where he continued to express his generosity of spirit for our community and the unhoused who live in Knoxville.

This evening of fun, fellowship, food, and fundraising is planned in honor of Don's amazing legacy and service to our community.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Support Our
Silent & Live Auctions
In it's 14th year, this annual event raises critical funds for the mission of VMC. Year after year, the Silent and Live Auction elements of the fundraiser add fun, friendly competition, but more importantly, it results in a large percentage of the overall dollars raised to prevent and end homelessness through our services.
No item or gift is considered "unimpactful," and we are grateful for all of the community partners who choose to donate items, certificates, adventures, or experiences to our event.
