Volunteer Ministry Center

Staffed primarily by trained volunteers, the Refuge sees individuals and families who are at risk of losing their housing. It provides counseling that can lead to housing sustainability as well as a small amount of financial assistance for rent and utility bills for those in crisis. Additionally, the Refuge can help with procuring birth certificates, state issued identification, transportation, eye doctor appointments, eyeglasses, prescription medications, clothing, furniture, etc. It also makes referrals to other agencies and services as appropriate. Each individual is seen in a private interview setting and confidentiality is maintained.
