A Rugged Road

Elton, one of VMC’s “neighbors“, joins Bruce this episode to discuss his journey into housing. A few years back, Elton was homeless and his world was looking bleak. Elton first connected with the VMC Resource Center about five years ago, which assisted him in achieving housing at Isabella Towers. Elton lived at Isabella Towers for a year and then applied for and received a Section 8 Voucher for his own house, where he has lived for the past few years. Elton shares how VMC and his case manager were instrumental in his goal of achieving housing and also provides some advice for those looking to change their lives through housing.
